A walk through The Chalet

01

Arrival & Entry

Pull up to mountain architecture tucked into the trees, then step into a light-filled, two-story foyer under globe pendants — the whole valley waiting past the glass.

02

The Living Room

Deep mid-century seating and dual hanging egg chairs beneath a wall of glass — the whole Shenandoah Valley framed behind you, with a Smart TV for movie nights in.

03

The Great Room & Sunroom

A sunken lounge wrapped around the stone fireplace and a chevron mountain-wood feature wall — with a wood lined sunroom and its hanging egg chairs opening to the deck and the valley view beyond.

04

The Kitchen

Black quartz counters, a big island, and full-size appliances open right onto the dining room — one of the best-stocked kitchens you'll find in an Airbnb, right down to the espresso-and-Keurig coffee bar.

05

The Dining Room

Seat the whole group for dinner beneath a linear chandelier and the valley view, steps from the kitchen and the deck.

06

The Bedrooms

Five bedrooms on the top level give families and groups room to spread out — most with wood accented walls and mountain light, plus a bunk room the kids will fight over.

07

The Bathrooms

Three full baths, freshly renovated with wood-look tile and black fixtures — including a freestanding soaking tub to sink into after a day on the slopes.

08

The Game Room

A lower-level game room with a pool table and a full-size Golden Tee arcade — a hit with kids and teens after a day on the slopes, with the valley view right beside you.

09

The Decks & Views

A large deck looking over the valley — bar seating for your morning coffee, and a front-row seat to a gorgeous view of the valley. In the evenings enjoy views past the firepit while grilling a home cooked meal.

Before You Book

Good to know

Bringing a Dog

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep pets off couches and cushions; a one-time $50 pet cleaning fee applies and pet-related damage requires reimbursement. Let us know in advance and we'll add a cleaner to make the home hair-free.

Nature Comes With the Mountains

As part of the mountain experience you may see the occasional insect, especially from August to November. We use regular, pet-safe pest control and perimeter traps — but nature sometimes wins.

Sun & Climate

Our large windows offer stunning views and can bring extra heat in the afternoons. The home has three central AC units to keep things cool and comfortable when used appropriately.

Super-Fast Wi-Fi

High-speed Shentel mesh Wi-Fi is perfect for video calls, streaming, and remote work. We've hosted up to eight guests on conference calls at once with no issues.

Layout & Sound

The open layout carries sound between levels, so it can be lively — earplugs are provided for lighter sleepers.

Parking & Access

Ample parking in front on a private, low-traffic street; roads are well maintained in winter. Self check-in with a lockbox, and the whole home and both decks are yours.

What guests say

★★★★★

"As we walked in, each of us said 'wow!' The view was beyond words. The teenagers spent most of their time in the game room — the pool table was a real hit."

Stephanie · Washington, D.C.
★★★★★

"By far the best Airbnb we've ever stayed at in the U.S. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked — we even found a rice cooker! The photos simply don't do it justice."

Nirisha · Phoenix, Arizona
★★★★★

"Thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need — one of the best-equipped kitchens I've used in an Airbnb. Dog- and toddler-friendly, with great water pressure and fast internet."

Eliza · Danbury, Connecticut
★★★★★

"We felt 'at home' the minute we walked through the door. We stayed last winter also — and LOVED it. The safety gates are a huge plus, and the coffee bar is important to us. We're already looking forward to next year."

Jim · Forest Heights, Maryland
★★★★★

"The views are spectacular, and it was fun to watch the skiers start down the slopes as we walked the dogs. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the downstairs game room was a hit with the family."

Jahangir · South Riding, Virginia
★★★★★

"We sat outside with the fire table and watched the sun set behind the mountains every night, and walked the pups to the dog park each day. The guidebook Jonathan provided was so thoughtfully put together — every detail considered."
